Lucky shoppers celebrate a big win!
Four lucky shoppers have a very good reason to celebrate this month, each having walked away with CityGift vouchers to the value of AED 25,000 from Deira City Centre’s Dubai Summer Surprises. Details of the weekly raffle winners were announced prior to another big prize giveaway draw, which will see one customer scoop an incredible half a million dirham shopping spree.
The first of the lucky quartet was Fatima Mohammed Rashed, a housewife who visits Dubai once every year as a tourist and chooses Deira City Centre as her first destination for shopping. Earning 14 coupons, the Bahraini national says she will indulge her passion for gold with her big win.
Teresa Crystal, a housewife from the Philippines who has been a resident in Dubai for the past 18 years, was able to clinch her special prize with just two raffle tickets. She said her first ever win in a raffle would be used to treat herself and that she planned to spend the rest on gifts to take to her family abroad on her next holiday.
If Galib Mehtiyev was trying to maximise his chances of winning, he certainly succeeded. Resident in Dubai for 11 years, the Azerbaijani national visited a number of different stores at Deira City Centre and received no less than 100 entry tickets for his efforts. His commitment paid off as he became the third weekly winner to be able to spend nearly AED 500 every week at the mall for the next year. The dental worker plans to buy toys and essential items for his children.
The purchase of a video camera saw Irmina Kuizon win the required amount of credits to receive coupons to enter the weekly draws. Resident in the emirates for nearly five years, the young Filipina says she will enjoy taking her time over the next year to explore the mall’s 370 outlets looking for goodies to spend her vouchers on.
“It has been very rewarding to contact the four winners of our Dubai Summer Surprises promotion and hear their excitement when told they had won,” said Fuad Al Najjar, Vice President of Deira City Centre. “We are very pleased to have been able to make a difference to these individual’s lives and look forward to the forthcoming Grand Draw, which will see somebody scoop the jackpot prize of AED 500,000,” he adds.
Deira City Centre’s DSS promotion ends on Friday, 22nd August, when the Grand Draw will take place. To enter, shoppers simply need to purchase goods to the value of AED 300 from the Centre’s 370 stores. Each AED 300 spent will give customers one entry coupon, entitling them to a chance to win the weekly prize of AED 25,000 and the grand prize of AED 500,000 shopping spree.
