ALBAWABA - In an unexpected seismic event, Iran's Khoy region experienced a 4.4 magnitude earthquake, sending ripples of panic through the area. Reports confirm that the tremors were also felt in Van, Turkey, adding to the apprehension.

The earthquake, striking at a depth of 7 kilometers, occurred at approximately 21:01 local time, catching residents off guard.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) swiftly issued a notification regarding the seismic activity, underlining the urgency of the situation.
