Mashreq Gold, the premier banking service of Mashreq is hosting a calligraphy exhibition by UAE National artist Narjes Noureddine. On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the exhibition showcases the unique art of Arabic calligraphy.

The exhibition will display 24 paintings throughout the month of Ramadan and is held across all six Mashreq Gold centres. This demonstrates Mashreq's continuous support to local talents across the UAE.

Omar Saleem Asghar, Head of Wealth Management said, "We are pleased to offer a platform for local talent to exhibit their art and increase visibility of their work. Mashreq Gold has always been an avid supporter of calligraphy and art in general. This exhibition across all our centres will surely create the atmosphere of Ramadan with Arabic calligraphy creatively showcased in paintings."

Narjes Noureddine, is the first female GCC professional calligrapher to receive an international professional award in calligraphy from IRCICA-Istanbul in 2004. The art exhibition will showcase some of the artist's recent work and will be open to Mashreq Gold customers.

Asghar continued, "This is the second time Mashreq Gold is collaborating with Narjes and we are committed to offer her an appropriate platform to succeed in her career and represent her country as one of the few professional female calligraphers in the region."

Mashreq Gold recently launched its Islamic division, Mashreq Al Islami to offer Sharia'h Complaint services to its affluent customers.

Narjes has participated in many local and international exhibitions since 2001, organized by Dubai Department of Tourism, Sharjah Department of Education, Abu Dhabi Officers Club and other local organizations. She has also held many open calligraphy workshops for the public in different events

Last year, Mashreq Gold marked its second anniversary with Emirati contemporary art exhibition, which saw the participation of many UAE National artists.
