Mashreq recruits UAE National graduates

Mashreq announced the recruitment of 13 UAE Nationals. The bank’s Management Trainee Program ‘Mashreq Al Mustaqbal’ is aimed to introduce skilled and talented of UAE National graduates into the bank across different businesses and fast track their growth to take up managerial positions.

 

In a recent study, it has shown that 58% of Emarati women are employed in the banking sector. The new recruits are mandated to undergo an intensive training program that is customized for their roles and offers a combination of induction, product knowledge, system training, customer service and other soft skills.

 

H.E. AbdulAziz Al Ghurair, CEO, Mashreq met with the latest batch of UAE Nationals to join the bank and congratulated them. He said, “Nurturing and supporting talented individuals is essential to the growth of an economy, as they are tomorrow’s leaders, who will take forward the banking and financial sector. The focus to recruit and retain such talent in the private sector is a challenge in itself; therefore there is a necessity to address those issues and find suitable solutions. There is a need to develop world class training programs to guide the national employees in their career, offering them various opportunities for learning and self-development.”

 

“Emarati Women play an integral part in the development and progress of the local society and the growth of economy. We will continue to empower UAE Nationals and open the way to them for better career opportunities, as they continue to contribute to the nationals economy,” continued Al Ghurair.

 

The recruits, comprising of UAE national undergraduates from Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and University of Sharjah, will be closely supported by Mashreq’s Learning and Development specialists and given the opportunity to work alongside departmental teams to experience, first hand, the dynamics of a leading financial institution.

Mashreq has developed dedicated programs to be able to recruit, train, develop and retain UAE Nationals employees. One of the various programs is Mashreq Al Mustaqbal program, which seeks high potential fresh graduates, Al Forsa Program and College Work Placement Program, which is a flexible program for undergraduates.

 

To date, Mashreq achieved 41% of Emaratisation across all its units in the bank. Being a lead player towards the Emaratisation initiative, Mashreq is setting an example by partnering with many local entities such as ENDP, universities and colleges to promote and attract Emarati workforce to work in the banking field.
