mcs/action picks up double award for best pr company agency top four contender in global pr honour

Dubai, UAE. October 24th 2007: MCS/Action, one of the leading independent public relations agencies in the UAE, scooped double honours for Best PR Company at the CNBC Arabian Property Awards – the annual recognition programme tasked with ‘distinguishing the highest levels of achievement in a range of property-related fields’.

The two five star awards, the highest achieved by an agency, were credited to PR campaigns developed and implemented by MCS/Action for technologically advanced property developer, Omniyat Properties, and leading Kuwaiti luxury real estate company, Abyaar.

This year’s haul also means that MCS/Action has made it back-to-back wins as Best PR Company as it took the accolade in 2006, further cementing the agency’s long-standing reputation of executing intensive activity in promoting real estate developments in the Middle East.

“Our expertise in the positioning of best-of-breed real estate initiatives from across the region combined with careful guardianship of their brand equity and strategic communication forms the cornerstone of our business,” said Tony Christodolou, Chairman, MCS/Action.

“We believe these awards recognise our continued commitment to achieving bottom-line results for our clients.  Our stand-out differentiator is our deep local industry knowledge and understanding of the constantly evolving market pressures of the region, and this is reflected in being named the ‘Best PR Company’ in property-related fields.”

To be successful in their category, competing public relations agencies had to enter three different case studies demonstrating outstanding creative and strategic public relations programmes in the property sector.

MCS/Action now hopes to recreate this success at the CNBC International Property Awards, which takes place at the Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas on 16th November 2007, as the agency is one of the four highest scorers in the category of ‘Best PR Company’ from all entries worldwide.
“To compete with the world’s best and to achieve such a high ranking in light of that is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the work we are doing. A win at those awards next month would truly be the icing on the cake,” added Christodoulou.

This was the second outing for the CNBC Arabian Property Awards in the Middle East, with parallel schemes also running in the USA, United Kingdom and Spain.

Corporations and agencies from across the Middle East made entries in up to 17 categories which included - amongst others - Best Marina Development, Best Architecture, Best Real Estate Agency, Best Real Estate Agency Marketing and Best Public Relations Company.

A jury consisting of 20 judges representing international media, associations and institutions, all connected to the property industry, selected the winners in categories and countries.

MCS/Action has company-owned offices in Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman and has a track record of consulting clients in the real estate and property industry, such as Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), Dubai Festival City, Qatari Diar, The Pearl-Qatar and Dubai World Central, the huge urban aviation community taking shape in Jebel Ali.
