In an effort to raise the public awareness about the damaging effects of drugs, Mecca Mall contributed 1,000 t-shirts to the anti-drug rally that took place in Amman’s downtown on June 24.

The rally was held under the Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania that featured broad participation of Jordan's social, economic and political segments. The rally began from the premises of the Public Security Department in Al Abdali and ended at the Civil Defense Department's Headquarters.

The shirts were distributed and worn by the participants at the rally. One side of the t-shirt had the “No for Drugs" logo printed, while the other side was Mecca Mall's & Abdoun Mall's logo. Mecca Mall’s security staff also played a roll in keeping order and security during the march.  Members of the security staff also wore their shirts for the rest of the working day.

Mr. Obaida Kurdi, the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kurdi Group which owns Mecca Mall stated, “The march presented a strong and unified message as the public marched in unison to inform the nation and its citizens that the Jordanian community is against drugs and their poisonous effects on our body and society. We at Mecca Mall are proud to have had this opportunity to participate in stemming our strong beliefs and serving a good cause. We hope that the rally has achieved some, if not all of, its objectives.”
