The Media and Marketing Show 2005, representative platform for the marketing and media industry professionals and market decision-makers, was inaugurated today by Ahmed Bin Byatt, Director General of The Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone
The exhibition, organized by THE DOMUS GROUP under official patronage from Dubai Media City, is being held from November 7-9, 2005 Dubai International Exhibition Centre (occupying Halls 6, 7 & 8) and is expected to attract 10,000 visitors, principally senior marketing clients, media buyers, sellers and professionals from across the region.
Speaking at the event, Ahmed Bin Byatt said, “Before the establishment of Dubai Media City, media companies were scattered across Dubai. Today, Dubai Media City serves as a hub for leading media enterprises in the region. The launch of the Media and Marketing Show could not have come at a better time, four years after the setting up of Dubai Media City and when the media industry in Dubai has reached new levels of maturity.”
“We will be continuing with our expansion plans in Media City by launching a Studio City and a Media Production City, following several requests by companies. We have been organising worldwide campaigns to promote Dubai as a regional media and marketing hub, in co-ordination with government departments such as Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, and Emirates Airlines,” added Byatt.
The event caters to over 400 brand names from 15 plus countries. David Domoney, Managing Director of THE DOMUS GROUP commented on the successful launch, “What is astounding is that the very first instalment of the Show has garnered tremendous broad-based industry support. We have a richly diverse mix of exhibitors from various fields and specialities, and there is an extensive range of presentations, seminars, and launches planned during the show.”
Alongside the exhibition, the 6th Gulf Marketing Forum adds an additional dimension to the mix, with some of the best brains in the business addressing the hottest issues of the day, from press freedom, to people metering and audits, and traditional versus new media.
The Show, which can be visited on www.dubaimediashow.com, is set to secure its position as the premier meeting point for marketing executives on the client-side to meet top industry
