Middle East guests attracted by Swiss expertise in medical and beauty care are now in for an extra treat at a world-famous clinic situated on the shores of Lake Geneva in Montreux.
Clinique La Prairie has completed an extensive renovation programme which culminates today (Sunday) in the opening of a new state-of-the-art wellness and ‘thalassotherapy’ centre where guests can enjoy new salt-water treatments in a tranquil and beautiful setting.
The clinic’s accommodation has also been upgraded through the restoration of a 19th century Château situated in beautifully landscaped gardens.
Equipped with a large in-door pool, a salt-water, therapeutic bath and treatment rooms boasting natural light and magnificent views of Lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps, the new thalassotherapy centre is the place to be for guests looking to de-stress, lose weight, or achieve that ever-evasive skin glow.
People of all ages can benefit from personalised programmes available at the new facility, which includes a picturesque terrace and a landscaped roof that makes for some spectacular viewing from the residents’ quarters.
The newly restored 19th-century Château now offers 24 rooms and suites, all featuring lake, mountain and park vistas from private terraces. Lighted underground passages connect all buildings within the complex, making it possible for patients to travel discreetly to check-ups and appointments in their robes and slippers.
Clinique La Prairie is best known for its unique Revitalisation cellular therapy, which is based on two injections that boost energy levels and strengthen the immune system. First developed in 1931 by Dr Paul Niehans, the treatment helps to slow down the ageing process and has evolved over the years to become the refined product, CLP Extract, which thousands of clients travel from all over the world to receive.
The clinic is also the premier authority on various skin treatments, weight management, plastic and dental surgery.
