Ministry Of Culture, Youth And Community Development Organises Traffic Week In Masafi Pr For Despatch

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development recently organised the 26th GCC Traffic Week at the Ministry’s center in Masafi. The event, which was themed "Beware of others faults", was well received and held in cooperation with the General Directorate of Fujairah Police and Masafi Police Station, to raise awareness among the local community about the dangers posed by unsafe driving practices.
Events included a number of features organised by the Ministry in which boys from Masafi Secondary School and girls from Al Rumaitha Al Ansariyeh School for Basic Education participated. The function was attended by Saeed Mohammed Al Yamahi, Chief of Masafi police station and Ahmed Mohammed Kasseb, Director of Traffic and Licensing Department and a number of officers and officials from the region.
The Ministry organizes The Traffic Week in order to familiarise local and regional communities on the benefits of safe driving practices and how these can avoid causing traffic accidents. Senior police personnel are part of this drive in creating road safety awareness with a series of instructional lectures and demonstrations.
