Morocco's King Mohammed VI of Morocco arrived in Niamey on Tuesday for an official visit that comes following a royal decision to bring humanitarian support to the west African country.

According to MAP, the Moroccan monarch was greeted at the airport by President Mamadou Tandja and several other officials. The Moroccan king is scheduled to visit the field hospital established in Maradi by the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces 600km of the capital Niamey to assist Niger authorities in emergency on-the-terrain operations.
