Morocco’s King, Moussa Discuss Palestinian Crisis, Restructuring of Arab League

Morocco’s King Mohammed VI discussed on Thursday with Arab League Chief Amr Moussa the Palestinian crisis and restructuring the league, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA). 

Moussa is currently in a Maghreb tour which has already taken him to Tunisia. 

He arrived in Rabat Thursday is due to visit Mauritania and Lydia, said the agency. 

The agency quoted the Moroccan monarch as saying he was disappointed over the “tragic developments in the Palestinian territories and Israel’s aggressions against the Palestinian people.”  

He also called for activating Arab action and improving its mechanisms, in accordance with an approach enjoying the unanimity of all Arab leaders and matching developments on the international scene.  

Moussa, for his part, underscored the role played by king Mohammed in supporting Arab causes, mainly the Palestinian cause.  

He said he submitted to Moroccan officials appreciation reforms meant to increase the efficiency of the league action, according to the agency – Albawaba.com
