Morocco has adopted a strategic plan of struggle against aids covering the 2002-2004 period, according to Morocco’s official news agency (MAP).

The plan grants priority to reducing vulnerability to HIV infection among youth and vulnerable groups identified in the regions of Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakesh, Tangier, Rabat and Beni Mellal.

It also provides access to drugs to ease the medical and social impact on aids infected persons and their families throughout the country and for prevention and early treatment of sexually transmissible diseases, MAP said.

Citing official figures, the agency said that there are 913 aids cases in Morocco – Albawaba.com
