Morocco to participate in Dubai International Holy Quran Award

Morocco will take part in Dubai International Holy Quran Award, which will be held on the first day of Ramadan in United Arab Emirates. Le Matin reports that about 80 countries are expected to participate in the event, which aims at encouraging Muslim youth worldwide to memorize the Holy Quran. Morocco is among the 36 Muslim countries, which confirmed their participation. The program of the event includes a contest that tests the knowledge of young Muslim scholars on Quran as well as a series of lectures on different Islamic issues. The first winner of the contest will be given 250,000 dirhams.
