Land Rover celebrated the success of the Mountain High team that returned from a trek across the world’s largest alpine pass located at a breathtaking 5416m at the Thorung La in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The team comprising 15 men and women aged between 33 and 69, spent 12 days conquering the Himalayan pass under challenging weather conditions and 50% less oxygen in the air at altitude.
The Nepal trek is the second stage of a Land Rover sponsored “Trek 4 Tsunami” project that Mountain High is conducting during 2005. The first stage of the project was the Palm Jumeirah Walkathon that helped raised Dhs 100,000 which is being used towards reconstruction projects in Sri Lanka.
