ALBAWABA - In its final survey of Muslim voters in the 2024 presidential race, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), revealed on Friday that the Green Party candidate is narrowly ahead of the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

The poll, which was issued a few days before the official election day, shows that 42.3% of respondents support Jill Stein, with Harris coming in second at 41%. This is consistent with the statistical tie that was seen in CAIR's August survey, where 29% of respondents supported each candidate.

About 9.8% of Muslim voters, who are incensed that the White House is providing armory and assistance for the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza on a global scale, want to vote for former President Donald Trump, a figure that is comparable to the 11.2% he garnered in an August survey.

Edward Ahmed Mitchell, CAIR's deputy director, emphasized the significance of these findings, stating that it is uncommon for a third-party candidate to receive significant support from Muslim voters.

Referring to the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza, Mitchell said "That goes to show, once again, the significant role that the Gaza genocide concern is playing among American Muslim voters,".

On a street corner in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, dozens of demonstrators screamed against Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican challenger Donald Trump.

The Abandon Harris campaign, which organized the demonstration, has backed Green Party candidate Jill Stein, highlighting the rising dissatisfaction that many Arabs and Muslims have with both major parties over their support for Israel.

According to public opinion polls, Stein is gaining favor among Arab and Muslim communities as Israel continues its horrific onslaught on Gaza and Lebanon.

Abandon Harris has urged voters not to support the vice president because of her commitment to continue arming Israel despite the US ally's offensives in Gaza and Lebanon, which have killed over 46,000 people.
