ALBAWABA- Unidentified drones were detected over Fort Lesley J. McNair, a US Army installation in Washington, DC, where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth reside, according to a report by The Washington Post.
Citing officials briefed on the matter, the newspaper said multiple drones were observed on at least one night in the past 10 days, with their origin and operator still unknown.
The incidents prompted an emergency White House meeting, heightened security measures across US military bases and diplomatic missions worldwide, and discussions about relocating the two cabinet members, though neither has moved.

US officials fear Iran could seek to target senior American figures on domestic soil. While there may be involvement by other state actors, such as China or Russia, no evidence has emerged to support such claims, and officials have primarily focused on Tehran-linked threats.
