NAJAH A MUST FOR STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS - Education, training and careers event offers more than just an exhibition

NAJAH is the most comprehensive education, training and careers event to take place in the UAE.

For three days (4-6 November 2007) the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will host a vast selection of exhibitors and feature job profiling, career counseling sessions, and the Youth Education Seminar and the HR Summit.

Organised by IIR Middle East, NAJAH is specifically created to service the needs of three distinct sectors in one focused environment.  Education is one of the main focuses, drawing in national and international universities such as the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, International Islamic University Malaysia and University of Sharjah, as well as numerous colleges and institutes. Also present will be education authorities such as the British Council, Malaysian Education Promotion Centre, the US Embassy, Abu Dhabi Education Council and the Ministry Of Education, UAE.

HR professionals and senior management, who are interested in training and development of staff, will be able to seek advice and information from exhibitors such as the Gulf Training Centre and those who are searching for possible employment can speak directly to decision makers from banking institutions such as HSBC, Barclays Bank and ABN AMRO.  The exhibition will also showcase other leading international companies which have a Gulf presence, such as Schlumberger, ADNOC and Etihad Airways who will be looking for new graduates.

In addition to exhibitors, NAJAH will feature career counseling sessions where students will be able to meet with educational counselors on a one-to-one basis and discuss their personal educational goals.  Individualized sessions will help students find the right courses, many of which will be offered by the various educational institutions participating at the event.

In order to match the potential employee with the best company, there will be job profiling sessions where students, executives and professionals will be able to access an online service which will match suitable job options for their personalities, interests and qualifications.
“I haven’t decided what to do with my degree yet,” said Houda Azzaoui, fourth year student at an international business school in France, the IFI, ESC Rouen Group.  “I’m looking forward to visiting the job profiling stand and speaking to a professional in the counseling sessions.  It’s a great opportunity for me to be able to access so many career and education options all located in one place.”
NAJAH will host interactive seminars covering a range of topics, including the most effective way to handle interviews, how to write the best CV, as well as highlighting various professions and what is it like to work in those fields.
In addition to the exhibitors, career profiling, counseling and the interactive seminars, NAJAH will run the Youth Education Seminar (YES) which will provide the UAE’s next generation with a platform to exchange ideas and possible solutions to their education and career choices. YES will be featuring Alan Patching who will be teaching today's youth how they can have a successful future and a lot of fun in the process.

The Middle East HR Summit will be held alongside NAJAH from 4-6 November 2007 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.  The region’s premier annual conference for human resource professionals features an even bigger programme in 2007 with a Pre-Summit Guru Day led by Professor Dave Ulrich, currently the world’s leading HR thinker.

More than 50 international and regional HR experts will share their expertise at the Summit which offers more than 25 information-packed sessions, specialist streams, interactive workshops and the highly respected Middle East HR Summit Excellence Awards Gala Dinner.
