The Zayed Centre for Coordination and Follow-Up has released a dossier on the life and achievements of late Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Public Works before his demise in October 1989. The Centre in introductory remarks said the dossier was compiled not only to honour the late Shaikh Hamdan, but also as a tribute to a generation of UAE men who had served the country till the very end of their lives. According to Khaleej Times daily, the dossier says that Shaikh Hamdan was a staunch supporter of the UAE federation and would often remark that the best of the times for the UAE people was the period when the federation was conceived in 1971 and the subsequent years that saw it blossom.
