New book issued documenting federal government’s achievements and highlighting challenges faced between 2006 and 2009

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in his preface of a new book issued by the UAE government - ‘4 Years of Achievements’,  urged readers to draw important inferences and lessons from the government’s achievements and challenges in order to plan and prepare for the future.
He also highlighted the fact that the previous years were not only full of achievements, but also challenges that were overcome with hard work and sincere efforts which have reflected positively on the UAE and its people.
The book, ‘4 Years of Achievements’ documents the achievements of the federal government from 2006 to 2009 under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Highlighting the most important achievements, programs and initiatives, the content of the book are organized and presented to allows readers to understand the role of the government, its services and achievements.
The book comprises seven chapters that focus on significant sectors: Social Development, Economic Development, Foreign Policy, Government Sector Development, Security Safety and Justice, Infrastructure and Rural Areas Development, in addition to a chapter highlighting the most important health and economic issues the government dealt with during the four years.

In the book’s preface, His Highness also highlighted the importance of achieving the national development program objectives of empowering and enhancing the UAE and its people, and reaching the highest levels of prosperity and development.
