A total of 119 buses have been bought and will go into service in the coming weeks. Bus routes will be re-organised following a comprehensive review.
Eissa Abdul Rahman Al Dousari, acting director of the public transport section at Dubai Municipality, told Gulf News: "To ensure the performance of the new fleet, we will conduct a comprehensive review of the present bus routes. The review will consider residential, industrial and commercial areas which were not included in the bus route plans in the past. Some routes will be replanned accordingly, with the number of buses needed on each route." (Albawaba.com)
