Real estate and property services leader Asteco has appointed Thomas Wiegand as Head of Project of the World Trade Centre Residence, a state-of-the-art luxury residence in Downtown Dubai.
Wiegand brings 10 years’ experience in buying, developing, marketing and selling real estate in international markets. An American national, Wiegand has worked in a variety of management positions in North America and Europe.
His new position will see him take on overall responsibility for apartment sales of the World Trade Centre Residence project. Other roles include coordination with contractors and designers, marketing, financial and legal consultancy to buyers.
Andrew Chambers, Managing Director, Asteco, said: “Construction of the World Trade Centre Residence is on schedule, and sales demand continues to be buoyant. Thomas is a great addition to the team and his extensive knowledge of commercial and residential real estate fits the profile of what will be a unique home environment for Dubai’s business elite.”
He said: “Thomas’ experience will give existing and potential customers added confidence.”
Formerly a listing and sales agent with RE/MAX Safor in Spain, Thomas Wiegand said: “The World Trade Centre Residence has a special location in the heart of Downtown Dubai. The project offers an unparalleled level of quality construction and design, with the most impressive pedigree of partners a development can have.”
“It is easy to understand why this is one of the safest investments in Dubai. We’re expecting most of the units to be sold by mid-next year.”
Due for completion in December 2007, the 40-storey World Trade Centre Residence will house 377 exclusive apartments. Most of the apartments have a duplex configuration with a gallery, and have between two to four bedrooms.
