Syria on Wednesday authorized licenses for 17 magazines and newspapers to cover various topics such as advertisement, culture, social, art, marketing, informatics, designing and animation. According to <i>SANA</I>, among the publications is a monthly magazine for the Syrian Computer Society and another for animations in English and Arabic called "The Animation World," in addition to a social and cultural magazine for the Roman Orthodox Archbishopric of Homs, central Syria.
