A new survey of Egypt's Internet users reveals that more than 20% of Internet users in Egypt use shared ADSL lines. The Arab Advisors survey provides important insights into the massive Egyptian telecom and broadband market.

A new major survey of the Internet users in Egypt was concluded by the Arab Advisors Group in February 2010. The survey report, Egypt Internet Users and e-commerce Survey 2010, provides the results of a major comprehensive online survey of Internet users in Egypt. The survey looked at the Internet usage, e commerce, cellular and Pay TV usage and habits of the online community in Egypt. The survey’s field work was conducted between October 2009 and January 2010. The final survey report and cross tabulation analysis will be delivered no later than March 15th, 2010. Please contact us to get a copy of the survey questions.

Respondents were randomly targeted by receiving an email shot in their inbox, or through an online ad on TE Data's Website. The email shots were sent in cooperation with TE Data, a major ISP in Egypt. The survey results encompass answers from over 1,300 respondents that passed rigorous quality control checks conducted by Arab Advisors Group’s team. The survey was carried out on the general Internet population. The online survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 4%.
