NUDP resident representative clarification
The attention of UNDP has been drawn to a number of differing reports in the media on the recent arrival of the Resident Representative ad interim, Mr. Samuel Nyambi, to Sierra Leone.
To clarify, Mr. Nyambi, assumed his duties at UNDP in Freetown on Friday, 23 May on a short two-month mission, to strengthen UNDP’s office capacity to effectively support a number of its major programmes and activities.
Mr. Nyambi is a former UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator, and was also Regional Manager UNDP Service Centre covering 22 countries of Southern and Eastern Africa.
UNDP Country Director, Mr. Bernard Mokam, will continue to carry out the usual responsibilities he has been handling in the Country Office.
