Nuqul Group Hosts Microsoft Chief Operating Officer

Nuqul Group recently hosted Mr. Kevin Turner, Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Corporation, who was in Jordan to deliver the Keynote address at the launch event for Windows 7, Exchange Server 2010 and Windows Server 2008 R2, which was held under the Patronage of His Excellency Engineer Basem Rousan, Minister of Information and Communications Technology .

Mr. Turner’s visit came after Microsoft had selected Nuqul Group, one of the region’s leading industrial conglomerate as one of the early adopters of Office 2010, under the Rapid Deployment Program (RDP), which aims at giving important customers the opportunity to provide their input and feedback on new products within their areas of interest which have not yet been released to the market.

Mr. Turner commended Nuqul Group’s strategic role and valuable efforts in promoting the effective deployment of Microsoft solutions. He stated, “Nuqul Group is a truly worldwide corporation with a global presence, so it made sense that such a reputable company was selected as one of our early adopters of Microsoft Office 2010. As part of our Rapid Deployment Program, Nuqul Group is one of a select number of companies around the world that we have entrusted to provide us with important feedback on product features, interfaces, APIs and other elements that are important to their business. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with Nuqul Group and hope they continue to align themselves with leading-edge technologies from Microsoft.”

The meeting between Mr. Turner and Nuqul Group’s CEOs took place at the Nuqul Group’s head office in Abdoun, and was attended by Mr. Ali Faramawy, Microsoft Vice President for the Middle East and Africa, Mr. Sherif Seddik, Microsoft’ Regional Director for North Africa, Mediterranean and Pakistan and Mr. Zeid Shubeilat, Microsoft Jordan Country Manager, in addition to Nuqul Group managers and representatives from their IT department.

Nuqul Group was among 30 companies from around the globe that were selected as early adopters.
