Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani ended his three-day visit to Moscow and Vienna and arrived home early Saturday morning. Accrding to IRNA, he told reporters upon arrival at Mehrabad International Airport that "Iran maintains its nation's right in the area of nuclear research and development and will not give in to any intimidation."
Officials of the country are making efforts to restore rights of the Iranian people through reasonable ways, he reiterated.
Referring to his talks with Head of Russia's Security Council, Igor Ivanov, he said "great efforts are made to preserve rights of the Iranian nation as the research and development of nuclear technology has started."
By exerting pressures, Washington is trying to refer Iran's nuclear case to the UN Security Council as soon as possible, he said reiterating that the US is also making practical efforts to pave the way for failure of the Russian proposal.
According to him, Iran and Europe did not reach an agreement, in their talks, adding that those who think that Iran would give in to the pressure are in big mistake. Larijani arrived in Vienna late Thursday to confer with the EU3 representatives and the UN nuclear watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei. The Iran-EU3 talks ended Friday without the negotiating parties reaching any agreement.
During the meeting, the three European states called on Iran to suspend all forms of enrichment activities, including those related to nuclear research.
