Jordan is entirely free from mad cow disease, an official source at the Agriculture Ministry confirmed.
This came in light of an Israeli report acknowledging the existence of “some cases” of mad-cow disease in Israel, Qatar News Agency reported.
In a press statement in Amman Wednesday, the Jordanian Agriculture Ministry's Secretary General Dr. Asaad Abu al-Ragheb said the Ministry has already taken “very strict measures” to impose the ban on import of live cow, beef, dairy and other by-products from infected nations. (albawaba.com)
