Omnia architectura, part of the exceptionally versatile Omnia sanitary ceramics range developed by European lifestyle brand manufacturer and ceramics specialist Villeroy & Boch, responds to the current strong demand in the building sector for functional, rectangular washbasins and corresponding WCs, bidets and baths with a range extension, that also comprises water-saving. Besides, the Omnia architectura line offers extremely attractive value for money.

Omnia architectura – Minimalist design for countless applications

The aim in developing Omnia architectura has been to offer planners and architects a modern, deliberately purist design, which is suitable for diverse applications and also offers scope for individual interior design solutions. The design is defined by clear lines: Identical radii for the outside edges and basin rims provide for harmonious, parallel contours. Omnia architectura also combines design and functionality in great style: The strikingly flat washbasins are able to hold an amazingly large volume of water and feature a practical anti-splash rim, wet and dry areas are clearly separated from one another and the shelves are completely level.

Four different washbasins are available, in 55 cm, 60 cm, 65 cm and 70 cm, plus two smaller handwashbasins (45 and 50 cm). The line is rounded off by a wall-mounted WC and bidet. Apart from serving as a striking design feature, the pronounced rim also guarantees excellent flushing performance. A concealed siphon and closed sides provide for particularly harmonious aesthetics and enhanced hygiene.

The planning scope offered by Omnia architectura is rounded off by a comprehensive range of rectangular baths. These cover the most diverse requirements in lengths from 140 cm to 190 cm and widths from 70 cm to 90 cm. Shower solutions are available from the Geos architectura line, in a design to match the Omnia architectura sanitary ceramics and baths.

Omnia architectura compact: new, shortened WC and bidet

Villeroy & Boch is now supplementing it’s range with two new compact bathroom elements that lend themselves to use in smaller bathrooms and that thus offer great flexibility in the commercial sector in particular: the Omnia architecura compact WC that has been shortened to 35.5 x 48 cm is fitted with the Aquareduct water-saving function. With the Aquareduct innovation one can reduce the volumne of WC flushing water from the standard 6 liters to 4.5 liters – with the same flushing effect. Thanks to Soft Closing and Quick Release, it is more hygienic, quieter and easier to clean.

The Omnia architectura compact bidet and the WC are in perfect harmony, thus enabling planners to achieve consistent design with  ideally matched components. Both sanitary elements are identical in form and size and feature the same striking design.

Urinal innovations: flexible water inlet, water-saving extraction, simple cleaning

In view of the fact that the urinal is particularly important in the commercial sector, Villeroy & Boch has developed a new water inlet piece for the Omnia architectura urinal that makes installation easier and more convenient than ever – also with existing connections. The new Omnia architectura water inlet piece is fitted with a flexible hose, which means it can be easily connected without having to lay connecting pipes or make holes in the wall. Villeroy & Boch has also redesigned the extractor section for urinals and now sets new standards in saving water: using just 0.8 litres of water per flush, Villeroy & Boch urinals are much more economical and environmentally friendly than conventional extractor systems, which use between two and three litres of water per flush. Villeroy & Boch is thus setting a new benchmark in the commercial sector. However, the new siphon doesn’t just save water, it also reduces maintenance costs since, unlike other water-saving solutions, it does not have to be replaced every six months.

By incorporating the latest scientific findings into the Omnia architectura urinal, Villeroy & Boch has succeeded in optimising the slope of the rear wall for maximum splash reduction. The new interior of the urinal also prevents water from splashing over the edge during flushing. Furthermore, the large opening means there is a greater likelihood of actually “hitting the target”, whilst the broad projection makes the urinal more pleasant to use. The ceramic screen effectively prevents foreign matter from entering the outlet. This greatly facilitates cleaning and maintenance. The Omnia architectura urinal is available in two variants: with inlet from above or with concealed inlet.

About Villeroy & Boch
Villeroy & Boch is a European Lifestyle brand of international standing and operates in 125 countries. The Groups head office is in Mettlach/Germany. The production is carried out at 19 factories located in 12 European countries. Almost 10.000 people are employed by Villeroy & Boch. The company went public in 1990. Villeroy & Boch’s product spectrum includes three product groups: "Bathroom and Wellness", "Tableware", "Tiles". In 1998, the year of the company's 250th anniversary, a major strategic reorientation took place, which was marked by a change in corporate direction from that of a production-orientated ceramics group to that of a European lifestyle supplier. In the heart of that paradigm shift is the sales and marketing concept "The House of Villeroy & Boch". That concept is based on an innovative, consistently integral presentation of products with an intentionally emotional customer appeal.

This year Villeroy & Boch is celebrating its 260th birthday and therefore has developed a special website, accessible through www.villeroy-boch.com, which provides interesting introductory information on Villeroy & Boch's company history, which is presented along an interactive chronological line. Here the trend-setting epochs in the company's history are shown in 50-year intervals, together with detailed information on the corporate history and decisive steps in product development.
