Oral-B and Crest donate funds to local charities Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre and the Disabled Children’s Association

Oral-B and Crest Arabian Peninsula bring their four month long Share Your Smile campaign to a close with the presentation of cheques to charities in Dubai and Riyadh.  As part of the campaign, Oral-B and Crest donated 50,000 AED to Rashid Pediatric Therapy Center in Dubai and 75,000 SR to the Disabled Children’s Association in Riyadh.

The campaign launched in August of this year, called on GCC residents to share photographs of themselves smiling or the toothy grins of their family members in a bid to break a Guinness World Record TM and raise money for charity.  Although the record was not broken, the campaign was well received by the public with thousands of smiling photographs submitted.

“ We are very pleased with the public’s response to this initiative,’’ said Ihab El Labban, Professional Oral Health Manager, P&G, Middle East & Pakistan. “ Oral-B and Crest wished to give less fortunate children a reason to smile whilst raising awareness about the importance of good oral hygiene by promoting daily brushing with a good fluoride toothpaste. ”

The smiling faces of the children of the Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre and the Disabled Children’s Association are a testament of the campaign’s success.  Both non profit organizations provide quality education and therapy services to children with

special needs.  Contributions such as the one by Oral-B and Crest ensure that services are delivered with the highest standards and encourage awareness and visibility of the charities’ cause.
