Celine Dion, who will be performing at Four Seasons Golf Club on 5th March, will be the first to use the venue as a concert site. Celine's team found that none of the other potential venue sites visited exuded enough elegance. Kusasa, organizers of over 10 of Celine's concerts, have gone through special measures with the RTA to guarantee free slowing traffic on the day of the concert.
Celine Dion is expected to perform in front of more than 12,000 fans who will be traveling from all parts of the region to watch her ‘Taking Chances’ tour. Event organizers have been cautious to arrange smooth running traffic, 5800 cars will be able to fit in the festival city underground parking, in addition to this there is 3500 over flow parking available. Ushers will be guiding concert-goers from the parking area to the venue, although it is only an 8-10 minute walk by foot, shuttle services will be made available from outside Marks & Spencer and Toys R US. With 30 buses going to-and-fro the venue continuously, there will be ample room for everyone. The organizers have gone through the effort to make arrangements with the Dubai Police at the exit routes of the venue, to ensure safety and smooth flowing of traffic. "We want to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for concert goers, Radio 2 will be giving drivers regular live updates of the traffic situation near the site and signs will be plastered all around, guiding drivers to the site" commented Tony Haswani, President of Solicet.
Organizers are urging people to show up for the concert when doors open at 4.30pm to avoid last minute entry. Audiences will be able to enjoy the luxurious 32,000 square meters of luscious green fields and the gorgeous arena. For VIP guests, the chic Blades Restaurant will serve as the pre-concert lounge where guests will mingle with a selected number of VIPs and socialites. With its magnificent terrace overlooking the stage, they will have the option to watch the concert form Blades or equally make their way down and get involved with the rest of the crowd. Food and Beverage stalls will be lined up outdoors in each relevant ticket section to cater for the large numbers. Packaged Deli Gourmet Sandwiches, Burgers, Hot-dogs, fries, as well as healthy salads and a selection of deserts will be available.
