A Palestinian was shot dead after he allegedly wounded three Israelis in a stabbing attack in the center of Jerusalem on Saturday night, Israeli police said.
Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said that a "terrorist" of Palestinian identity was shot and killed after he allegedly lightly wounded three Israelis using first his car and later a knife.
It was not initially clear how the three Israelis were wounded.
A spokesperson for Magen David Adom emergency services said four Israelis were treated after the incident, but said one of them appeared to have suffered an anxiety attack and another a heart attack.
A spokesperson for Shaare Zedek hospital said that only two Israelis had been brought to the hospital, with "very light" wounds.
She said that one of them was an Israeli soldier, who appeared to have been stabbed, while the other Israeli appeared to have been hit by a car.
Israeli media reported that Israeli authorities had not yet confirmed the incident to be "nationalistic."
The scene -- reportedly in in West Jerusalem's Romema neighborhood -- was closed off by Israeli police.
