Palestinian wounded in West Bank; Abbas to head to Paris

Israeli occupation forces wounded on Wednesday a Palestinian and arrested a boy at Fourik checkpoint in the West Bank city of Nablus, witnesses said. According to WAFA, they said that a bystander was wounded when Israeli soldiers opened fire at the boy, whom they claimed he had tried to stab a woman soldier with a knife. The boy, Uday Mleitat 16, was arrested by Israeli soldiers.

 

Meanwhile, occupation forces erected Wednesday morning a checkpoint at the entrance of Qalqilya city in the West Bank. Witnesses said the soldiers of that checkpoint stop Palestinians and their vehicles and search them.

 

On the political front, Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, will visit Paris in a short time, French Consul General in Jerusalem, Alain Remy, said on Wednesday. Following his meeting with Abbas, in Gaza, Remy said that Abbas had accepted an invitation to come to Paris in very short time.
