Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) Speaker Gholam Ali Hadad Adel in Tehran Sunday advised US officials to forget the idea of possibly attacking Iran and learn from their past.
Speaking at the start of Sunday's open session of Majlis, the speaker said that US officials will do well to remember the experiences of their leaders during the victorious 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran and not dare think of using force against this country, IRNA reported.
"The Americans have themselves spoken of Iraq as another Vietnam," Hadad Adel said, "but it is surprising that they still knowingly try to make the same mistake by now threatening Iran."
Hadad Adel was speaking on the eve of the annual victory celebrations for the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran known as "10-day Dawn" from January 31 to February 10.
Moreover, he said that the Iranian nation has demonstrated its will and
capability over the past 26 years and is on the glorious path to spiritual and financial progress.
