The New York Festivals awarded The Partnership a World Bronze Medal in the Print Advertising category in recognition of its creative press advertisement that was conceived in the cause of peace and human rights for Othaim Commercial Group, one of its retail clients in Saudi Arabia, which is known for promoting strong family and social values. The winning entry features a bleeding Saudi head dress, accompanied by a message – Don’t allow terrorism to distort our traditions. This was an appeal to people to stay away from deviant, anti-social acts. The advertisement was released in the media to coincide with an anti-terrorism conference that was held in Riyadh, and organised by the Saudi Arabian government.
The Partnership’s entry was among the record number of entries received from 60 countries, and which were evaluated by an international judging panel of advertising industry experts from around the world. New York Festivals also awarded The Partnership two Finalist certificates for two other advertisements, which were conceived and designed for Shoe Mart and Home Centre. This takes to 10 the number of awards that the Dubai-based agency has won at the annual New York Festivals Awards in the past five years.
