Abdulla Bin Damithan and Naushad Ali Abbas Gazge from DP World Sales have been presented a cash award of AED 34,740 each, as part of the Group Suggestion & Reward Scheme (SRS) at Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC).
Their jointly submitted suggestion pertaining to open and covered storage facility has been successfully implemented and monitored since July 2005 and was verified to generate an annual recurring revenue of AED 1,349,637 for PCFC
Abdulla and Naushad were presented an SRS Certificate signed by Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of PCFC and Chairman of DP World, along with the cash award, which was presented by Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman of DP World & Jebel Ali Free Zone, in the presence of Ahmed A. Hussain, SRS Chairman and CEO of PCFC’s Group Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) unit.

Ahmed A. Hussain added: “We appreciate the efforts of Abdulla and Naushad who conducted a thorough study and proposed an improvement to the present situation at DP World’s open and covered storage facilities. Year 2005 has been a very successful year for our employee’s suggestion scheme with a 150% increase in the number of suggestions in comparison to 2004 and this year we look forward to an even greater participation of all our employees in the program to further enhance key aspects at the workplace.”
SRS at PCFC was instituted in Oct. 2005 with the mission of enhancing employee motivation by recognising and rewarding useful suggestions which, when implemented would lead to the improvement of Performance, Customer Service, Quality, Environmental Friendliness and Employee Welfare, besides resulting in savings or increased revenues.
