IMPACT/BBDO Group Lower Gulf COO Pierre Azzam has decided to seek a new path and explore fresh opportunities after 26 years at the Group.
Pierre Azzam was instrumental in the growth of the network, expanding the Dubai agency to include the Lower Gulf, multidisciplinary development and the setting up of the Abu Dhabi and Qatar operations.
Pierre Azzam stated: "Leaving a Group in which I have invested more than half of my life is never easy, with all the emotions and history. I shall take a long-overdue break while exploring new opportunities for the second stage of my professional life."
In a statement Alain Khouri, IMPACT/BBDO Group Chairman & CEO said, “We are genuinely sad to see Pierre leave the company, but I have to respect his decision. Pierre has been exemplary in contributing to our growth and development. I shall miss him both as a professional associate and as a friend.”
Reflecting on Pierre Azzam’s career, Alain Khouri stated that, “After early days in client servicing, he took a management role in Egypt in the early 90's – setting the foundations of today’s growth business. Pierre’s career has culminated in Dubai with a multidisciplinary regional group employing 250 people, an enviable client portfolio, and a solid, sustainable business.”
Group President Dani Richa will work with Pierre Azzam and the existing management team to ensure a smooth transition over the coming months.
