Promethean picked for prestigious UNESCO Award for Innovation

Half of delegates chose Promethean learner response systems as “most innovative idea”

 

Promethean, a global leader in interactive classroom solutions, has received an innovation award from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), United Nations' education agency.

           

Promethean’s range of learner response systems, including Activote and Activeexpression, has been voted as ‘The Most Innovative Idea’ during the UNESCO’s ICT in Education Innovative Awards Exhibition. Half of the academic experts and government education ministers from across the Asia Pacific region chose and allocated their UNESCO dollars to Promethean’s learner response system as their preferred education product

Activexpression is Promethean’s latest product in their learner response systems range and is designed to allow students to ‘text’ to an interactive whiteboard using words, phrases or numbers to increase participation and engagement between students and teachers. Activote, the company’s first learner response system, targets younger pupils, with a simpler layout and six voting buttons pupils can easily answer multiple choice questions in a fun and engaging, quiz style.
