Membership to Air Miles, the region’s leading coalition loyalty programme, has grown in Qatar, by more than four billion Air Miles issued over the last seven years fueled, in large part by a variety of exciting promotions.
Since the launch of the programme Air Miles has shared a special relationship with HSBC where the beneficiaries have been and continue to be members. From day one members always earned twice the number of Miles by using both their blue Air Miles Card and their Credit Card.
In an effort to maintain this growth momentum, the two partners have launched another special promotion that offers a chance to win one million Air Miles in April. Both HSBC and Air Miles are confident this will further increase usage of both HSBC Credit Cards and the famous blue Air Miles Card together.
Lucy Havard-Williams, Head of Personal Financial Services at HSBC Qatar says that members using both the HSBC and Air Miles Cards together to shop in any participating outlet throughout this month will not only earn twice the number of Air Miles, but also as a bonus will be able to enter into a draw to win One Million Air Miles.
“Once again we are giving our cardholders the chance to get more in return for using their Cards. For example, if a member makes a purchase for QR 100 at any participating outlet using their HSBC Credit Card and the blue Air Miles Card at the same time, they earn 50 Air Miles from HSBC plus the miles they earn from the participating outlet. The more they swipe, the more their chances of winning are increased!”
Dave Battiston, CEO of Air Miles says that Air Miles has seen a marked increase in online redemptions of its multi-participant loyalty programme so far this year.
“More members in Qatar are discovering the ease with which they can exchange their Miles for a wide variety of shopping vouchers, holidays, electronic goods and much more,” he said. “We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of members in Qatar enjoying the benefits of rewarding themselves for their everyday shopping. Now they have an even greater incentive in this promotion with HSBC.
