Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Hamad Al Thani, on Friday sent messages to the presidents of Sudan and Mauritania regarding bilateral consultations on several Islamic issues, reported the official Qatari News Agency (QNA).

The emir is currently the president of the ninth Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), a globe-spanning body of Muslims.

The agency said that Qatar’s ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Mohamed Al Assiri, delivered the letter to Minister of State at the Foreign Ministry Shaul Daynaq during a meeting.

It added that the emir’s message to Mauritanian President Moauya Sidi Ahemed Al Taya was handed over to Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Minister Aldah Ould Abdi by Qatar’s ambassador Mohamed Mubarak Al Mohanadi during a meeting in Nouakchott – Albawaba.com
