Qatar’s Water and Electricity Company Exempted from Customs, Taxes

Qatar’s electricity and water company has been exempted from paying customs duties and other taxes and fees, according to a law issued by emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, reported the Gulf Times newspaper on Wednesday. 

The law stipulates that “exemption from taxes and other fees mentioned in the Customs Law shall include machines, equipment, spare parts and chemicals needed for operation and maintenance of Ras Abu Fontas Power Station B.” – Albawaba.com
