Qtel and Doha Bank officially launched “INFINIT”, the new programme for small and medium enterprises that combines high-end business services with advanced communication solutions and support. The event was held on 31st March 2010.
The value-packed collaboration brings together Qtel’s pioneering “Office in a Box” solution, with Doha Bank’s e-marketing and financial tools into a seamless package that offers an immediate business saving of around QR10,000.
With Qatar’s economy continuing to surge as the world economy recovers, the package has been designed to free up management time and position local businesses for global growth.
Eng. Khalid Abdulla Al-Mansouri, Executive Director, Business Solutions, Qtel, said: “Companies in Qatar recognise that there are some unique opportunities available for them as different sectors recover from last year’s financial turbulence and begin to invest again. Partnering with Doha Bank, we’ve developed a unique solution that enables managers to effortlessly secure communications infrastructure and financial backing, so that they can focus on the core of their businesses.”
Businesses that choose INFINIT can immediately benefit from Qtel’s Office in a Box solution, which provides complete connectivity, Broadband Internet, telephony and hosting facilities for small businesses. They also benefit from a single point of contact for support and one consolidated bill.
In addition, INFINIT also offers free set-up and access to Doha Sooq, Doha Bank’s unique e-commerce website that enables businesses to cut costs and sell products and services online. Customers who choose INFINIT also get access to Tatweer, a comprehensive range of products and services that includes financial services for business operations and loans for capital expenditure, subject to eligibility.
Mr. R. Seetharaman, Group CEO of Doha Bank, said: “Tatweer has enabled businesses across Qatar to grow since its launch, and we believe that by combining our comprehensive portfolio of financial services with Qtel’s unique communication support, we will provide the best possible support for Qatar’s small businesses.”
As an added bonus, customers who sign up for INFINIT will also get a free POE switch for the Office in a Box solution, as well as free set-up for a dedicated account on Doha Sooq.
Since its launch, Tatweer has provided one-stop services for a wide variety of businesses, and has been instrumental in arranging financing, developing services to drive growth and efficiency, and delivering in-business banking services.
Doha Sooq, an e-mall targeted to the merchants and consumers of Qatar, is the first e-commerce initiative by a leading financial entity in the Middle East.
Qtel also offers a range of dedicated SME services through Qtel Business Solutions (QBS), including a wide portfolio of productivity, communication improvements and cost management solutions like Qtel’s innovative BillXpress, which enables clients to see all communication costs online in real-time.
By pooling their SME expertise, the two companies are confident that they can further develop their specialisation in the field of small business support, and in particular create greater opportunities for Qatari companies to contribute to the knowledge-based economy which supports the country’s vision for 2030.
