In the framework of the UAE Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs campaign to curb “uncontrolled” import of labor, it has cancelled licenses of seven different recruitment agencies, according to Gulf News.
Juma'a Al Mihairy, Head of the section that issues licenses to these agencies, said the Ministry has come up with a plan to check the uncontrolled import. Most of these agencies function as so-called “tourism” and “travel” agencies, but now inspections on agencies will be widely increased.
Al Mihairy added that authorized job recruitment agencies have complained a great deal that they are suffering because of this practice.
He mentioned that certain people even use mobile phones to contact companies needing manpower, and the Ministry has to check this issue as well.
The task is difficult because many people enter the country on genuine visas, but the Ministry is determined to act upon and solve the problem. (Albawaba.com)
