Reef Mall, the ideal family shopping destination in Deira, continues its fun calendar of events with the Reef Mall Kids Fun-A-Thon this summer from June 24-July 31, bringing a selection of exciting stage shows, roaming performers and competitions to the kids, and adding an extra touch of fun festivities to Dubai Summer Surprises 2010.
Kids can expect a host of entertaining activities to roll out over the coming few weeks, with a Hip Hop Workshop led by a professional choreographer on the cards early next month, from July 1-3. With fun routines covering everything from warm-ups to ensemble work, the workshop is sure to get kids on the dance floor, while a competition at the end will give the participants a chance to try out their newly- mastered moves, with the best dancers going home with a prize.
Young stars in the making will also get an opportunity to play dress up at the Fancy Dress Photo Shoot from July 8-10, with the mall’s salon team going to work with nail art, hair highlights and colourful touches of make-up guaranteed to get the kids looking their cheery best. For all those waiting to step into the limelight, the fun event will be the perfect opportunity for wannabe young models to take centre-stage.
Also on the cards is a Magic Show Workshop from July 15-17, where kids can learn a whole host of tricks to keep up their sleeves; a Jungle Safari Walk from July 22-24; and a big finale bash – the Summer Fun Party on July 29-31, with singing and dancing competitions and yummy cupcakes and juice on offer for the kids.

The Mini-Circus – the first Kids Fun-A-Thon event which took place on June 24-26 – saw the mall’s youngest visitors treated to an exciting juggling workshop, hula hoop and crazy cycling demos, fun prize competitions and lots of circus action performed by clowns, acrobats and jugglers.
While the weekend stage shows and workshops actively demonstrate new tricks and treats and invite children to show off their own skills, fun weekday activities including face-painting, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts challenges such as picture-frame and bandana-making, roaming clowns and balloon artists will keep the summer spirit buzzing all through the coming month.
