DUBAI, UAE, March 9 /CNW/ - On March 30, 2010, Apoise-the world's 89th largest yacht-will be sold to the highest bidder at an unreserved public auction being conducted by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA) in Grand Cayman. Registration to bid on the 220-ft (67 m) luxury Lrssen motoryacht is now open. Interested buyers can register at the Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers booth (No.51) at the Dubai International Boat Show, taking place March 9 - 13, 2010 at Marina Club, Mina Seyahi in Dubai. Registration closes March 25th.

Prospective buyers must meet all pre-qualification requirements, including placement of a refundable 2,000,000 Euro deposit. Qualified bidders will be able to arrange a private viewing and sea trial of Apoise, meet the crew, and review due diligence documents, and inspect the ship's bottom and running gear for themselves. Further details, including specifications, general arrangements, photos and video, can be found at www.rbauction.com/theapoise.

Apoise is owned by Dave Ritchie, co-founder of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auction company. Mr. Ritchie purchased the yacht new when he retired in 2006. His intention: to sail the world for two years and then sell Apoise at a Ritchie Bros. auction. "I really believe in the auction system," explained Mr. Ritchie. "An unreserved auction, with no restrictions and no limitations, gives the fairest, most honest valuation of any item." Mr. Ritchie so enjoyed Apoise that two years of sailing became four.
