Renault welcomes new GCC Managing Director

French car manufacturer Renault has appointed Mustansir Lakdawala as its new Managing Director for the GCC and Iraq region.

Lakdawala brings extensive experience working in the automotive business for over 15 years. His new position will see him taking overall responsibility of Renault’s GCC operations including the expansion of its distributor network and showrooms efficiency. Lakdawala will also be actively involved in selecting new line-ups for the region, boosting sales with an enhanced market presence, improving services and communicating Renault brand values through regional events and marketing initiatives.

Lakdawala added: “Renault has made huge strides since it reinforced its regional operations in 2007. My key objective will be to continue this growth further and establish Renault as a leading automotive player across the region offering customers service excellence and a product that stands for top quality, reliability and great value for money.”

Prior to his new position as Managing Director of Renault GCC, Lakdawala was actively involved with the Nissan and Infiniti brands in the Middle East holding various senior level positions.

Headquartered in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, Renault’s GCC office has a strong team of highly experienced industry professionals to support local and regional initiatives and increase Renault’s profile in the region.

Renault GCC recently announced the extension of its commercial vehicle line up with the launch of the Logan Van and Logan Pick Up models. Other new Renault cars due to arrive this year include the much awaited Fluence, Sandero and Megane hatchback models.
