ALBAWABA - In Balata refugee camp east of Nablus and Tubas, West Bank, Israeli occupation troops fought Palestinian resistance members. The clashes followed an Israeli hunt for the shooters who wounded three settlers near Shavei Shomron.
The Israeli army sent a security force to Balata camp after special forces stormed it. A drone watched as soldiers fired heavily around a residence. Multiple young males were detained by Israeli soldiers across the camp and used as human shields. Before their evacuation, Palestinian rebels and occupying soldiers fought fiercely, according to witnesses.
A Jazeera journalist verified the detention of numerous Palestinians in Balata camp. Al-Quds Brigades Nablus Battalion said their men attacked Israeli soldiers on various fronts surrounding the camp, targeting special units.
In the incident near Shavei Shomron, Israeli Channel 12 reported three minor injuries to settlers. Hamas praised the shooting east of Tulkarm as a reaction to Israeli atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank. Large Israeli troops searched the area for the gunmen after the event.
After injuring civilians, Israeli soldiers invaded Ramin east of Tulkarm, Al Jazeera reported.
Israeli soldiers searched numerous houses in Tubas, sparking gunfire from Palestinian militants who exploded explosives near Israeli vehicles. Local reports said that occupying soldiers invaded Tubas via the Tayasir checkpoint and clashed outside the city.
Nablus Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades ambushed Israeli troops, injuring several and damaging their vehicles. In Tubas, Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades successfully attacked Israeli soldiers.
