ALBAWABA - A horrific two-car collision in Hodeidah, Yemen, on Wednesday claimed the lives of nine people, including Deputy Prosecutor Judge Yahya al-Shu'i.
Local sources indicated that all passengers in the two vehicles involved in the collision in Al-Zuhra district, north of Al-Hudaydah governorate in northwestern Yemen, were killed, including women and children. Among the victims was Judge Yahya Al-Shu'i, a deputy prosecutor.
Sources attributed the accident to excessive speed and the presence of small gravel, locally known as "halsan," on the road. This caused both drivers to lose control of their vehicles, resulting in them skidding and colliding.
