Nokia Siemens Networks and Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS) have signed a contract for delivery of broadband access equipment (DSLAM) to expand MGTS packet transmission network
Under the contract Nokia Siemens Networks will supply DSLAM equipment of 400 000 ports capacity to MGTS. The DSLAM equipment provides access for subscribers to MGTS’ packet transmission network. The equipment will be delivered in October 2007. Work on the network is expected to be completed by the end of 2007.
The solution is based on the IP DSLAM SURPASS hiX 5635 equipped with ADSL2+ modules.
