sama launches service to beirut, fares starting from sr 425

• Sama is supporting tourism and business travel between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon
• Fares starting from SR 425 from Riyadh and Jeddah to Beirut
• Sama provides 50% discount for students.
• Sama will launch its “frequent traveller” rewards program, which is a first for any for any Low-Carrier Airlines in the Middle East.
• Received and operates the 7th aircraft to serve the Northern Province only.


Sama, the newest airline in Saudi Arabia, is pleased to announce that, the first official launch flight from Jeddah to Beirut in Lebanon is being held tonight (Sunday), which was attended by some key journalist and Sama executives. There will be 6 weekly flights between Riyadh, Jeddah and Beirut.

“We are delighted to announce our first international charter flight to Beirut, which is in response to overwhelming public demand for travel between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. Beirut is one of the most popular and preferred destinations for our guests. I would like to thank the General Authority for Civil Aviation in both countries for their trust and support of Sama for facilitating the licenses we need to serve this route” said Andrew Cowen, CEO of Sama, in a press conference held following arrival at Beirut.

Faisal A- Duheim, Director of Marketing, Sama said: “We are glad today to announce the initiative, which is the first of its kind, “Frequent Traveller” as the first Low-Fare Airline in the Middle East launching its loyalty rewards program. This is meant to reward our passengers who travel with us, regardless of the number of miles or destinations that have been travelled, We will offer the “Frequent Traveller” a free ticket for every 9 tickets collected. All they needs to do, is shows their 9 boarding passes, and they can choose any Sama destinations (Domestic or International). This will make it one of the best and most unique loyalty programs in the Middle East”

Andrew Cowen added: “With Sama’s commitment as a Saudi national carrier, we are adopting a Student's Discount 50% on our domestic flights, beginning next week. Sama customers to lead in its initiatives, and in its quest to be the preferred Low-Fare Airline in Saudi Arabia and Middle East. We have received and operations for the 7th aircraft, which has been allocated to serve the Northern Province only, as part of Sama's services to our guests, and to ensure to provide the best coverage and lowest price”

Fares to Beirut begin at SR 425 from Jeddah, departing on Sun, Mon, and Friday, and SR 475 from Riyadh, departing on Sun, Wed, and Friday. Sama's overall number of international destinations is increased to 7 (Abu-Dhabi, Sharjah, Amman, Damascus, Latakia, Aleppo, and Beirut), departing from the international airports of Dammam, Riyadh, and Jeddah.
