Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Ali Aseeri was in Kabul Sunday at the head of an official delegation to reopen the Saudi embassy.
According to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), while in Kabul, Aseeri was due to hold talks with a number of senior Afghan officials on issues of mutual interest.
Saudi Arabia was one of three countries that recognized the ousted Taliban regime, but severed its relations with the radical militia after the September 11 attacks on the US, accusing Taliban of harboring terror suspects. (Albawaba.com)
